Bitcoin Node Setup: Full Hardware Guide and Walkthrough

Running your own node is one of the most important things you can do for your sovereignty and for the Bitcoin network. It is also one of the most intimidating. This video will walk you through the full process: hardware selection, assembly, software installation, and configuration. I’ve made tons of mistakes on my journey and will share what went wrong and how I fixed things. I will show you what hardware and software I chose, why I chose it, and what I did differently. I will also discuss security which is often overlooked in tutorials on this topic as well as the differences between Bitcoin Core and Knots, why I am running Knots + BIP-110, and what would change my mind. If you are running a business that accepts or holds Bitcoin, running your own node is part of operating with integrity, and I will cover that use case too.

What This Requires

This is the most expensive video in the series. The hardware for a proper setup would be around 850 EUR before I can start recording. This would also demand a few weeks of work to set everything up, test it, troubleshoot and document the process clearly enough so you can follow along. I will not rush this one.
