Exchange-Traded Fund. An investment fund holding many different assets that trades on a stock exchange like a single share. Bitcoin spot ETFs allow people to gain exposure to Bitcoin’s price through traditional brokerage accounts. Note: owning a Bitcoin ETF is not the same as holding Bitcoin directly.
